Tyler grew up playing OMHA and Junior hockey for the Newmarket Hurricanes before earning
a D1 scholarship to Dartmouth College where he graduated in 2015. After captaining the “Big Green” for his final two
collegiate seasons, he moved on to the professional ranks. Despite being undrafted to the OHL and the NHL, he
earned NHL contracts with the Chicago Blackhawks and the Columbus Blue Jackets.
Tyler played the majority of his professional career in the AHL. Recognized for his leadership capabilities,
he was once again appointed captain, this time with the Chicago Blackhawks affiliate in Rockford.
After a decade-long professional playing career, Tyler is now excited to work with the next generation of youth
hockey players who share his love for the game. Tyler specializes in teaching specific skills, mental tools, and the
fundamentals of the game using various techniques learned from multiple Stanley Cup winning coaches that he has
played for. Tyler is eager to help guide the professional athletes of tomorrow through their own developmental
timeline, and be a mentor to them as they develop both on the ice and off.
