Stockholm is a great place to party, either with the rich and famous or with the bohemian and artsy crowd. The rules are simple but might be a tad overwhelming for somebody just home from a trip to Ibiza where you're literally thrown into the action and partying is forced upon anybody walking the streets. Stockholm has a little more pizazz and attitude but it's definitely worth it.

The Swedish national ice hockey team, or Tre Kronor ("Three Crowns" in Swedish), as it is called in Sweden, is one of the most successful ice hockey teams in the world. The IIHF currently ranks them third. The team is controlled by the Swedish Ice Hockey Association, and it is considered a member of the "Big Seven", along with Canada, Russia, the USA, Finland, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic.

Finland is the land of the sauna and the Finns are a nation of sauna-enthusiasts. Finland has a population of 5.1 million and 1.7 million saunas — one for every three inhabitants.

Stockholm is built across 14 islands and is often called the Venice of the North. With more foreign visitors than any other city in Scandinavia it is also considered to be the Capital of Scandinavia. Stockholm is situated at the point where the vast Lake Mälaren flows into the Baltic Sea and was built on this strategic spot in the mid 13th century, enabling the founder to tax merchant vessels going in and out of the lake.
